Harley Jane Kozak - Dating is Murder (2005)

Reviewed by David J. Montgomery

On a much lighter note, Wolly Shelley, the star of last year’s smash debut Dating Dead Men, has returned for a second madcap adventure in Harley Jane Kozak’s Dating is Murder.

Wolly’s dating life, if anything, has gotten even worse since the first book. This time around she’s a participant on a reality show called “Biological Clock” which features contestants vying to be the audience’s choices for who should hook up and procreate.

At the same time, Wolly’s friend Annika, a young German woman working as au pair, has disappeared and nobody seems to care. Wolly is left with no choice but to try to find out what happened on her own. Doing so leads her deeper into a sinister scheme involving much more than a missing nanny.

Kozak demonstrates once again that she has the real stuff. Combining light-hearted humor and romance with a suspenseful mystery plot, she has created a compelling story that is sure to please. Dating is Murder is one killer book!
